Well for chapter 568 it's all up in the air, what will happen in the next few chapters will influence Ace's chances of living. Garp a legendary marine who could fight toe to toe with Gol D. Roger is stepping out onto the field. As for sengoku well his abilties are questionable, I'm not saying that he's weak, but it is good enough to say that he is a dangerous man, but assuming that rank in the marines reflects their fighting ability Sengoku would be INCREDIBLY powerful, but also the argument that Sengoku hasn't fought in a long time, or that srength doesn't decide rank it would be safe to say that Sengoku isn't much more powerful than Garp. on top of all that Sengoku himself said something like "We won't get out of this unscathed" which would mean that even in the best senario for the Marines they will still get hurt. Whitebeard still has a lot of fight left in him though he his heavily wounded. From where he got stabbed, I'm assuming Whitebeard got damage to his intestines and possibly his stomach and liver. But however the problem now is that they still have thousands of marines to fight through, and on top of all that, Whitebeard's side is still losing allies, and fighting strength (With Luffy now out of action). Plus the Marines still haven't lost much of their fighting force when it comes to officers. Ace however has some bought time, since Crocodile unofficially sided with Whitebeard, it still isn't much time however. I say that because I don't know how long it will take to get more executioners up to the plateform to finish the execution, if they have two or more ready and handy it won't be much time before they start up the execution again. But if they don't have more executioners ready then they will have much more time than the marines would like. As for who would, could, and should take on Sengoku, and Garp. Well that's a tough answer because there are so many people who could get involved but the arguments of "The reason they will" and "The reason they won't" varies so much that it almost becomes a 50-50 chance of anyone beyond the nine other rookies getting involved. And as much as I am excited that the other nine rookies will get involved they still won't be enough to fight against the 3 admirals, Sengoku, Garp, and I don't know about the shichibukai. But Moria will be a good person for them to fight against, Mihawk is probably too powerful for most of the rookies to effectivly fight him. The only one I can say will good certainy that can face Mihawk is Eustass Kidd. Doflamingo is busy with Crocodile, but if I had to predict a winner between the two it would be Crocodile. Becuase crocodile is able to withstand Doflamingo's (What I guess to be string-string or puppet-puppet) fruit attacks and Doflamingo hasn't shown the ability to use haki so it is safe to say that crocodile has the upper hand. as for Kuma I don't know what happened to him, the last time we saw him he was getting the crap winked out of him. So for the three admirals, Garp, and Sengoku they have strong opposition against Daimond Joz, Marco, and Whitebeard. that's three out of five strong marines that need to have an opponent. Well I vote for Dragon, and Shanks, well because I like them, and it would be cool to see Dragon and Shanks fight.
Opinions are welcome and don't be shy.
